I think her bust and hips are a lot larger. I am 39-26-39, 5’5” and about 120, and I am WAY smaller than she is!! My guess is her bust/hips are in the 40s.
Wish I could wear 50s clothing. I’d probably look better than I do in jeans and a sweater.
No, I don’t think her breasts are 39DD. I have 34 DD and they don’t look nearly as impressive as Christina’s breasts…I’m guessing she’s a 34 F (maybe bigger cupsize). Because, when you measure breasts for brah’s you measure the circumference underneath the breasts and the circumference around the breasts. The measurements for the dress would have to account for the circumference of her breasts, not for the circumference underneath her breasts. Then you only have to guess the circumference underneath her breasts (which would be somewhere between her waistsize which was 30 and her breastcircumference: 39)and calculate. So 34 F is my guess, but as Shan said: 34 H/G would be very likely as well.
The measurements of a dress are larger than, not equal to, the measurements of the body. For Christina to be as curvy as she is, she must have a waist that is at least 12-14 inches smaller than her chest and hips, not a mere nine inches smaller. Her waist looks smaller than thirty inches to me, as well. I’m a little taller than she is, with a similar figure. My measurements are more like 40-26-38.
I’m 5 ft 7, 39, 30, 39 (so pretty much identical measurements) and wear about a 36F. I’m UK size 14(ish) although this varies from shop to shop and on the style. And yes, my boyfriend knows he’s very lucky :p
Well whatever her size is, i think she looks fecking gorgeous! Slender girls and all very well and yer there are some very beautiful ladies out there but christina is in a whole other league. She womanly and sexy and she most definately knows how to flaunt her curves, proper curves at that.

Wow, you people are a little missinformed! First of all, her full bust measurement is listed as 39″. This means this is including her cup size, so she would not be a 39DD! Her ribcage is most likely 30-32″ around, THEN you measure around the full bust, hers apparently is 39″. Subtract the ribcage measurement from the full bust measurement and you’ll have 7-9″ for difference, which would indicate her bra size to be either a 30G (DDDDDD) or 32F (DDDD). This is just based off of the measurements given above, which are probably not quite right, I’d say her bust is more like 42-44″ which would mean her bra size is somewhere around a 30HH or 32GG. Her hips are also way bigger than 39″. Mine are 37″ and I look like a twig compared to her (size 4 dress for myself). Size 12-14 in a dress would be a hip measurement between 43-45″, not 39!
When will people educate themselves when it comes to this stuff?
No, i think the measurements are about right. i’m a 38DD and with the right bra, (like one from Fredrick’s of Hollywood.) they will look that impressive.
They are about a 12FF I work at a lingerie store and see plenty in a day!
@Ashley…then you don’t know how to measure. Anyone in their right mind knows bra sizes are not made in odd numbers, and also that Hollywood and the media will say anything to make someone’s size seem impressive. If Christina were really a 39 bra band, her waist would be much bigger than 30″. I have a fairly curvy frame, though on a much smaller scale, and most women have very little difference between waist and what their ribcage or bra band is. My waist is 24 but my ribcage is only 25″. My bust on the other hand is 35″. Hollywood and the media would say I wear a 35 because that’s what I measure at, but it’s wrong! So they would say my measurements are 35G-24-37, when they’re really 35 (28G)-24-37. See the difference?
I highly doubt she’s wearing padded bras either, they don’t have that fake shape to them you get from padding. And for someone like you, a 38DD, why would you have to? Aren’t they big enough?

Does she even look like someone who would wear a size 38 or 39 bra band? She’d have to be 50 pounds heavier AT LEAST! Try covering up her boobs in that photo with your hand. Look how small she is!! It’s just the illusion of having big boobs, especially if you’re wearing the wrong size they can make your waistline look fatter.
Whatever her measurements are, the girl rocks! My guess is that the measurements are close to accurate. Body type and exercise have a lot to do with it, too. My measurements are 39-28-38, I am 5’6″ and weigh 140. I wear a 4 to 6 US, and 8 UK. By US standards, I am a chunk! Thank Christina and Beyonce for bringing back curves!

Either her waist is smaller or her hips are bigger. I’m thinking the latter. My waist is 28.5″ and my hips are about 41″, and she looks much curvier. I don’t think it’s just the boobs, either.
She’s a DD, my gf is only a DDD and her boobs are quite a bit larger than Christina’s. Especially because hers only LOOK so big because she always has them pushed up like crazy and is usually wearing something tight

Since she’s 39-ish — I’d say she’s a 36DD. I’m 5’7″ and was a 36D and my boobs were not as round or substantial as hers.
I’d say the rest of her measurements are close, but I’d be willing to bet she’s probably more like 41-30-39. Realize the camera adds bulk to everyone’s body and that in real life she probably looks very normal/average size (except the boobs, which will look a little bigger than average.)
Only comment I have is that is certainly seems possible that movie stars could have custom made bras a la Jane Russell (as made by Howard Hughes) and Christina actually does wear a 39. Realize that retail stores though do only sell even sizes.
I am guessing the measurements are off somewhat. The chest measurement may be the chest at the biggest point (tape measure around the boobs), or at the ribcage (which is where bra size is measured) -and neither one of those is 39 inches.
I wear a 34D bra (almost a DD) and my breasts are nearly as big as hers. I am guessing she is no larger than 36DD. And my waist is 30 inches; hers seems smaller- I would guess about 28 inches. She has great proportions, so no matter how you measure it, she is a bombshell.

Totally agree no way she is 150 and no way is she 39 inches on top. As a professional photographer I agree the camera does ad weight in that pose – but as so many pointed out for her breasts to be 39 inches she could be as small as a36C and that is just not right. By US standards she is fat – especially if you see that shot in a one piece. My guess is she is 14 and at 5’8 and a 14 I think that puts at about 30 – 40 pounds heavier.
By the way I think she rocks and would love to see more actress built like a woman. As a woman with a rack and butt you have to always wear clothes fitted at the waist or you end up looking pregnant!
Anyway nobody can know her measurements exactly. She wears certainly a girdle (but a girdle from Hollywood!) to contain her forms. It is not a criticism. She makes that every woman who has forms would make to appear to her advantage. She is beautifull that’s all!

For goodness sakes, size 12-14 is not a hip measurement of 43-45. That’s 16-18. Vanity sizing is not that out of hand yet.
Her band size is no way a 30! 36DD, 27, 40 is my guess. She probably, like Marilyn, has her dresses tailored so her dress size is irrelevant.
No way is she a 12 or 14 and weighs 154! She is more like 190 at a size 14 being 5ft 8. She is probably a 40 e or f bra size. Her figure is very similar to mine except she does not have muscle tone due to her role, she is supposed to look like women in the 50′s so min. muscle.

Ok, at the fullest point my bust is 43, but my rib cage is 32 plus 4 = 36, therefore I wear a 36F or so, my waist is 30 and my hips are 42. Although it is nice to be curvy, it is so hard to find jeans or anything else that fits, other than stretchy knits, which emphasize everything. Is there a store out there that can help us full figure girls?
Rhiannon, why on earth would you feel bad about your body??!! If you look anything like Ms. Hendricks you are a goddess! And that goes for all you other beautiful women who have posted comments here. Know, my lovelies, that there are plenty of us men who’d much rather have a woman in our arms (and lives) than a freeze-dried stick insect. Indeed, I suspect at least a good percentage of the men who swear allegiance to the Holy See of the Have-Nots also actually prefer curvaceous women but don’t admit it for fear of looking un-”cool”!
I’d say the closest to her bra size out of the guesses would be the 32F or 32G (I go with G) I’m a 30 G, and while impressive mine aren’t *quite* that big. But 39-30-39 is about an inch bigger than me all over, and since bras are sized based on the difference between bust and ribcage. That is also european sizing though – personally american bra sizing is all over the map, and more or less useless for ordering bras.
Also, at 5’8 she’s got 2-3″ on me and I’m 135-140lbs. I can totally believe she weighs 20 lbs more than me – boobs are heavy!

I am 5’8, maybe a smidge taller. I weigh 140 and that’s with a 34 DD. My measurements are 36-25-36.5 and I wear a size 6 and mediums.
I know a few females with E cups and she looks smaller than them so a large DD would make sense… I think her measurements are fairly accurate.
I’m 2 inches shorter than her, and I look only slightly bigger than her with measurements of 42-33-42 (I know I’ve got a bit more round the middle than her, though). I wear a 36GG or 34H depending on the bra manufacturer. Based on pictures of her on red carpets her boobs are at least as big as mine, so I would agree that she’s not a 39 on bust or hips.
Any woman who thinks Christina Hendricks’ bra size is anything less than an F with a band size anything bigger than a 34 is probably wearing the wrong size themselves. @Misty You’re Welcome? I’m a seamstress and even from a photo I can generally tell what size or measurement people are because that is my line of work. What exactly is your area of expertise? You obviously missed the point I was making. I was giving my measurements as an example (and quite honestly I do not like them) because as I stated above, the media does not give correct measurements, a lot of times they’re using “vanity” measurements to make the person sound smaller or bigger to come off more appealing. I believe Christina is actually curvier than what the media is portraying her to be, and that’s not a bad thing. A curvy woman has a HEALTHY body with curves in the right spots. They are not “fat” or “thick”, and rolls do not equal curves, for those of you who may misunderstand what I’m saying. So Misty, please do your research. Thanks!
@ Amanda, just above my last comment, you sound similar to me but a cup size larger. I would say you should be wearing a 28FF (UK sizing, this would be a 28H in US sizing, or 5 D’s), not a 34DD. Your waist is small and in order to fit properly in a 34DD your ribcage would have to measure 31-34″, also your bust would be 39″, not 36″, which tells me that the sister size of 34DD with a 36″ bust is a size 28FF. Have you been professionally fitted before?
I haven’t read everybody’s comments, but I wear a 34G in the UK, and when I look at her in pencil skirts, then look at myself, I think that she and I look about the same. I’ve watched a LOT of mad men and looked at lots of pictures of her to try and figure this out. Obviously this doesn’t make me an expert on her physique, and I promise I’m not claiming to be, but it’s likely that she’s a 34F or 34G because her breasts look about as huge in pictures as mine do. She’s def got a slimmer waist than me, but I copy her clothing SO MUCH because I have red hair like her and crazy curves. She’s so purty.
Her measurements are right; I am two inches taller but the same measurements proportionately.

I wear the same bra size as Ms Hendricks and yes they are that big. I also wear a size 14 and have been compared to her in body type many many times. I am also 5’8″ and there is no way in HELL she ways only 154lbs. Maybe that’s what she weighed doing playboy but c’mon. Thighs and boobs that big, she’s at least in the 170s. BTW I love her immensely and I think she’s beautiful

the bra size is definatley wrong, I have the same 39-30-39 measurments as Christina and I am about 5’2 tall and weigh in at 65kg/145lbs. I wear a bra size 32F , I’d say she is somewhere around this measurment and definatley not a DD. Also the 70kg/150lbs is most likley accurate considering her height when compared to mine and that our measurements are pretty much exactly the same. As for a dress size she is probably around a US 10-12. The US 10 may seem small but with the same measurements I wear a US 10-12 myself. Also to all those commenting on her waist-hip ratio, with these measurements as for my self it equals a 0.7 which is the ‘perfect’ hourglass figure (waist is 70% of the hip/bust measurment).
Anyway who cares she is gorgeous and curvy and it’s great to see someone with her build on TV
Cristina’s breast are big, well-shaped and totally matured. As a man, i think she has ideal boobs which one man like most. I want to suck those with force.
